Terms of Service
Last updated: September 5, 2026.
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the DeleteIt website, macOS application, and related services. Please read them carefully before purchasing, downloading or using DeleteIt.
1. Who we are
DeleteIt is owned and operated by Luis Hernández, a sole proprietor based in Santiago, Chile ("DeleteIt", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@deleteit.app for any question about the product, your license, billing or these Terms.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing our website, downloading DeleteIt, creating an account, or purchasing a license, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DeleteIt or our services.
3. The service
Software
DeleteIt is a native macOS application that scans your local disk, identifies large files, duplicates and other items that may be safe to remove, and moves selected items to the system Trash at your explicit request. File analysis is performed locally on your Mac.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may not share your account or license credentials with others.
4. License and restrictions
When you purchase or receive a valid license, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DeleteIt for personal or internal business purposes on compatible Mac devices according to the terms published at the time of purchase. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, resell, sublicense, or use DeleteIt for unlawful purposes.
5. Payments and refunds
Payment processor
Orders are processed by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd, which handles all customer service inquiries related to billing and tax. Prices are shown in USD and tax may be added at checkout depending on your location. By completing a purchase you agree to Paddle's terms and privacy practices. We do not store your full payment card details.
Refund policy
Refund requests are handled according to the Refund Policy published on our website, typically within 14 days of purchase unless abuse or fraud is detected.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use DeleteIt lawfully and responsibly. You understand that DeleteIt moves files to the Trash based on your selections, and it is your responsibility to review selections before confirming any cleanup. We are not responsible for files you choose to delete or move.
7. Intellectual property
DeleteIt, its name, logo, code, design, and content are our property or licensed to us. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or reproduce our materials without permission.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
DeleteIt is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted service, or that the app will identify only safe-to-delete items. You are solely responsible for reviewing items before deleting them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of DeleteIt, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using DeleteIt at any time. Upon termination, the license grant ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of DeleteIt after the changes means you accept the revised Terms. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
12. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, without regard to conflict of law principles.
